About the Role
As an Architectural Technologist at Nada, you’ll support our design-build team with drawings for additions, structural alterations, and layout changes. You’ll prepare permit sets, coordinate with engineers, and help ensure projects comply with zoning and building code requirements.
Responsibilities
Create existing and proposed floor plans, elevations, sections, and details for residential projects
Prepare complete building permit drawing packages and coordinate submissions
Work with structural engineers to integrate framing and structural details
Research zoning, bylaws, and site constraints for properties in Oakville, Burlington, Mississauga and surrounding municipalities
Coordinate revisions from clients, engineers, and municipal feedback
Support project managers and site teams with clarifications and details during construction
Requirements
3–5+ years of experience in an architectural technologist role, ideally focused on residential work
Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology or related field
Strong knowledge of Ontario Building Code and municipal permitting processes
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit or similar drafting tools
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at once
Nice to Have
Experience with heritage homes, additions, or complex zoning files
Previous work within a design-build or residential architecture studio
BCIN qualification
